I just upgraded to a P3 700E cC0 w/ 256 MB PC133 rev3 on a CUSL2 in a new case. those four things are the only new components to my system. everything else, such as PCI cards and the HDD, CD-ROM, zip, and floppy drives i transfered into the new case. now to the problems
First and most important, my zip drive and CD-ROM arent being detected. i dont know if that is a windows or a BIOS thing. it shouldnt be windows b/c i just moved my HDD, i didnt reformat, so everything should be the same. here's what happens: the system searches for new drivers everytime i restart b/c i moved my cards all around. while searching, it asks me to put the win98 CD in the CD-ROM. but once windows loads all the way and i want to search for files or folders, windows only gives me the option to search the floppy and HDD's (a:\, c:\, and d:\ respectively - i have my HDD partitioned). it will not display an e:\ or f:\ (removeable (zip) and CD-ROM respectively).
My second, and not as important problem is: how do i disable the onboard video? i came across something called onboard VGA in the chipset options in the BIOS with the option to enable or disable it. is this what i'm looking for?
any advice would be appreciated...thanks everyone
