HELP ME WITH MY B0RKED PC

I have recently been having a problem where when I power off my PC, if I try to turn it back on again, it turns on and there is fan activity but no beeps or BIOS loading. this doesnt happen if i reset the PC.

But.. today I changed the processor to a processor which is supported by my motherboard and now if i try to power up, the same thing happens. it just has fan activity and light on motherboard but no loading. normally to fix this problem i merely had to leave my pc alone for approx 20 minutes but now it just wont start even if i leave it for ages.

also, my old chip doesnt work either now....

anyone have any ideas?

First of all, this is OFF TOPIC! This is not a tech support forum, as is posted all over this board.

Now, here are the possible reasons, in order of likelyhood:

1) Bad PSU. Seems very likely, particularly because of the previous faults you speak of, which sound just like power problems.
2) Bad motherboard
3) Bad CMOS or CMOS jumper setting. Look up in your manual how to reset it, it may be holding values that don't work, or may be stuck on the wrong pins.
4) Bad speaker -- you really are getting a beep code but you put the speaker in the wrong way or it is broke.
5) Bad component or connection

Remove EVERYTHING, keyboard, mouse, hard drives, spare RAM, every component except graphics card (and even swap that if you can). Then try it. A working computer will boot without these components. If it's no go, it's almost certainly mobo or PSU.
