Simple Paint Drawing
Do you agree with my arrangement?

I made a hole above the vid cards 🙂

BTW I want to do a CPU fan Duct mod -- any suggestions? I was thinking about simply placing a piece of cardboard on the right of the infinity...

BTW, Can I simply use ol Duct tape to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Well, first off the rear case fan and the fan on the scythe will be goign against each other. Second you always want more exhaust than intake since the vacuum will cause the incoming air to expand and cool. Also it looks like air will be pooling between vid cards since you have 2 fans blowing into the same area. I'd prolly have the front fan blowing out. In my case I have intakes on the back and side. The rear intake blows directly on my infinity and I have the cooler fan on teh other side drawing air thru the heatsink. then I have exhausts in the front and top as well as the psu.

Right but there will be air coming out of the side of the CPU heatsink where the case fan is blowing onto it. You'd be better off putting the cpu fan on the opposite side of the cpu heatsink and having it suck air thru rather than blow air into it. If you have the fans set up like that the intake on the rear of the case will not reach the CPU heatsink.

Another thing to consider is just setting up the fans in a variety of different ways and running a stress test and watching temps and see which configuration nets the coolest temps.

I take a more direct approach...

Since you're willing to play around with the fan directions, what I would do is try this and try that, then try something else -- recording the temps of your mobo, CPU, and drives after every change.

Whatever works best (demonstrably) for you, that's what I would use... 😉
