Help me with a wireless network

Trying to set this stuff up for a friend. He has comcast supplied modem/wireless router that has an access point at the main computer. The trouble is we need to get 2 more computer connected wirelessly to that internet connection. We bought two of these, some off brand wireless-g cards for $5 AR. I can't figure out how to make the connection between the router and the wireless card. It gives me IP errors and a bunch of other garbage.
