Help Me With A Power Supply

I have a Asus A8N-SLI on the way as we speak. I need a PSU that will be able to handle 2 6600 or 6800 GT's. I think I have the choices down to 2. The links for them are below. I am also open to other brands if their is a better one out there.

I really like the OCZ one. They seem to have a pretty good reputation for their quality. Antec is also good quality. Hard choice. I thought about the OCZ 570 with adjustabe rails but do not want to wait for it to come back in stock.
 
i think you are gonna need more than that like a 600W since sli uses alot of power and from the two cards. also, dont get 2 6600gt a 6800gt is better than 2 6600gt's get one 6800gt and another one later. or buy 2 6800gt if you want. make sure they are pci-e last guy didnt know so.
 
i currently use the antec - it seems to be pretty good. i currently run 2x250 maxtors, 2x160 seagates, 1x73 raptor, radeon 9600xt, dvd drive, cdrw, and a dvdrw - along with 4 case fans and 2 raid cards... all with an athlon64 3400. i get better voltages than i used to from my 3 year old enermax 550w (650w peak) PS. Don't know how it will work with the SLI cards, but it works fine with my setup, for a reference.

are you overclocking at all? how many sticks of memory, what brand and timmings are you running them at? what motherboard are you using? what specific ANTEC do you have, there are MANY different models with the same power rating..
 
How do these rails sound from the Antec 480

The question is does it have the right plugs...

I like the OCZ powerstream due to the adjustable pots and it is standard for the upcoming BX platform...My power supply units last years so I need room to grow....

I will be looking at 520-600w...I like the idea of the dual +12v rails though...

Disagree. I saw an article where they put a meter on the psu, peak load was around 380watts for 6800Ultra SLI.

Do 6600GTs even require external power?

Your post is way off base.

look at the rail ratings carefully...

+12v TOTAL is 38v
+3.3v TOTAL is 28v
+5v TOTAL is 50v

those aren't real impressive for that price range..

I also haven't seen any positive reviews on Thermaltake, so the quality of their units hasn't been confirmed.
