alright guys i give up..... why am i not having that awesome gameplay experience that the reviewrs are having?.....u know the setup .......i don't think it is the cpu bottlenecking my cards..... they're sharing 8x-8x so no problem there too i think..... 3d mark score is around 19000 on performance preset (although @ 1080p it is about 1400 which i think is ok, isn't it?) which is less than what reviewers are getting.....battlefield bad company 2, starcraft 2 and assassin's creed 2 in all i'm having a jerky gameplay.....

please help.....

Uninstall the ATI driver and the application profile then clean up the junk left with driver sweeper (for both nvidia and ati drivers).
Reinstall the ATI driver and the application profile

Are both cards connected to the PSU 6 pin? Did you install the crossfire brigde? Did you enable it on CCC?

Try cleaning the drivers out in safe mode with a driver cleaner (after uninstalling the drivers you have now), and then try re-installing the drivers.

I have mine 6970s in Crossfire X, 8x and 8x, and with the same CPU you have (though mine is overclocked to 4.1Ghz at the moment), and I have had nothing but fantastic framerates so far, with bad company 2 and starcraft 2 anyways (I do not have Assasins Creed 2, so I cant help you there).

Using Supersampling under AA mode can cause poor frame rates, make sure you are using Multisampling instead. Mess with CCC settings, could be something simple like that.

Have you tried the cards seperately? Mabe you have a single bad card?
You have tried driver sweeper. check.
Your psu is fine and you have both connected. check
Did you enable crossfire in CCC?
Do you have the latest drivers? crossfire hot fixes ect. ect. ect?
Are you using AA with supersampling?

I dont know where to go from here.

6850 supports only 2-way so only 1 cf bridge

then i've tried both multi sampling AA n adaptive MSAA......no good....

ok i'll contact you guy after 8 or 9 hours cause i'm going to sleep.....then i'll do the following in order:

1. i'll uninstall drivers, interchange the card on slots, install drivers and see if that helps.

2.(if 1 doesn't work) uninstall all drivers first with official uninstaller then using drive sweeper.... then i'll first install one card and install the drivers check out scores and everything then i'll insert the second card and see how cfx works hopefully be done with he setup

2. (if 2 dont work) i'll install one card, install drivers, benchmark it, install second card, re-install drivers, benchmark CFx and hopefully be done with he setup.

3.(if 2 doesn't work) re-install the windows 7 ...then install one card and then another......that i really wish just works....

4.(if 3 doesn't work) i'm gonna...try not to cry....really.

Sometimes you need to jump up and down on one leg, while juggling 3 balls and whistling Yankee Doodle Dandy. Driver installation is a tough job. :p

I noticed when i went dual card that forcing triple buffering and Vsync through drivers helped alot with the stuttering, if you havent done that it might help.

unless you were using some 3rd party app, triple buffering through drivers was not even getting applied to DX games.

This must be why a buddy told me to install rivatuner, I also have it enabled in rivatuner as a freind told me to download and install rivetuner as well im guessing for this reason.
