Hello,

I have a Lenovo G50-80 Laptop. It's old, but it serves my needs just fine. Lately its wireless performance stared dropping to the point where its virtually non existent. I get one bar at beast and it constantly disconnects even though I'm right next to the router. I tested wireless with my tablet and my phone and its perfect. 5 bars. The drivers are up to date too. I opened the laptop and re-seated the card, but there's no change.

The card in question is this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/222764162898?epid=4012037211&hash=item33ddc75f52:g:4O4AAOSwEOpaO2OL

I'd like to try and replace it, but since I'm doing that, Id like to get something better? With faster speeds?

Can someone please recommend a model?

What you want is the intel AX210.

Make sure you get the BT antenna and Wifi attenna in the proper button connection.

I like it, its just that its overkill for my Router. My router is AC wireless max. It doesn't support Wi-Fi 6. I could upgrade the router too, but then I'll be in several hundred bucks into this whole thing, when I was planning to spend around $30 max.

What would be a good, stable AC card?

No, you want the most sophisticated client card currently available, if you're going to upgrade. Unless for some reason that you might have a BIOS white-list.

All Wi-Fi ax chips are downward compatible with ac & n.

You don't have to upgrade your router immediately.

Intel WiFi chip is the best. If you can't afford $34, how about $14?

Wi-Fi 6 only. Not Wi-Fi 6E.

Well, your Lenovo has whitelist, see if it can be fixed.
