Help me upgrade my E6850

I am really wanting to upgrade my E6850. I have it at 3.6 Ghz most of the time and it does a great job. I am wanting to go the quad-core route-- I was thinking the Q8200 or the Q9300. I really don't want to spend much money. I have a Asus P5Q and a XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 that is part of the upgrade (So overclocking is a must). I do play quite a bit of games and the E6850 has been great, but for future games and GTA4 which loves quad-cores I want to upgrade. I also was thinking that i could build a Phenom II 720 BE with a 780GX motherboard for not much more than a Q9300. I don't know? need some input.

I can get a q8200 for $149.00 or a Q9300 for $80.00 more.. Is it worth it???
or go with the Phenom II 720 BE with a 780GX or any mobo with 750SB??

Overclocking is intended for any config.

The Q9400 is $230 at newegg - $80 more than your $150 Q8200 - so I would say it would be worth it especially for overclocking and overall performance. And if you already have a compatible motherboard, it would make more sense than switching to AMD.
