My days of a 3 month self build upgrade cycle are far in the past, then came my days of keeping a second tier machine pieced together, then everything eventually failed and I limped by on a hand me down ~700 mhz machine that work gave away.

I built my wife a photoshop rig a year ago, dual core x23800, memory, decent lcd(samsung 971p). It's mostly sat in a back room squeezed into a corner.

We decided to become a 1 pc family(plus lappys) and the nice pc has moved to the office(no gaming video card, but who has time for that?)

What needs to go -

Logitec z550, sub stopped working a few years ago, would come back if you slapped it hard. Took it apart once to try to fix, gave up. After a move it pretty much went out altogether and the sattelites would only put out minimum volume. Still think the sattelites are good.

Would anyone want this for parts, or the satellites as replacements?

Monitor of dhoom. I'm a crt lover, but I don't game anymore and I have a decent 19' lcd here, so the 21" black trinitron needs to be passed on.

The crutch pc will probably be moved to the garage, and if I can rig up a pringles cantenna to pick up my router will be used to look up parts diagrams for auto work.

I also have a lexmark optra r+ beast of a laser printer that I recently replaced with a sleeker younger model. Will anyone on craigslist buy this or does it get added to the dump/recycle pile?

roger dodger on both, just trying to decide if it's worth the time to try and sell the printer and speakers on craigslist or if I should just get them out of the house today

get rid of them. its not worth keeping, and you probably wont get anything from CL anyway

Damn, you're too far from me. Though the last thing I need is more junk lying around. :D

Nope, too cheap for that.

Unless you're willing to send me the 971p and the dual core processor+RAM for the price of shipping. :p

Craigslist and/or Freecycle are probably the way to go.

Or else put the stuff out a day early for the trash (not rainy days) with a super-stylish cardboard+marker sign indicating "FREE" stuff.
