Okay.. I was having wierd sound static problems.. I dug up a really old thread that said.. to fix this change from :

ACPI uniprocessor pc
to
advanced configuration and power interface (ACPI) pc.

I had to move my sound card afterwards, but now its on irq 12 all by itself and I have absolutely no issue with crackling or popping sound.

I am worried that this is going to harm my systems performance first off..

Secondly my 9800pro is now sharing an IRQ with two things:
IEEE 1394 host controller - this is from my audigy2, but I have it disabled since I don't use it.
and
Nforce2 PCI management system.

Am I gonna have some serious problems? Am I going to lose some serious performance.

Should I get that Radeon on its own IRQ and if so.. how do I do that?

Quick note.. I noticed I am now losing less frames in the sound test of 3dmark03 and I have also seen my score go up 50 points.. but that is not really anything.

Well I think you explained it yourself
Changing it from Uniprocessor PC to ACPI PC rearranged all your system's IRQs, which resolved many IRQ conflicts that you had before

but before everything was on its own irq... and now what about my 9800pro.. is that gonna be a problem?
