Company-issued Thinkpad WIN10 laptop for work from home full time. I am ethernet connected to my home network router with it. I am a full-time employee of company A but am assigned to work on applications that belong to company B, which I VPN into (Cisco Anyconnect). But before I even connect the VPN, I am already connected to my company A email / Skype account after my WIN10 login. More like during - because what I don't get is how it is connected to my company A network without a VPN - how it even validates my WIN10 login since I'm using my company email address myID123@companyA.com / password as the user/pass. It is not shown within Local Users and Groups.
Another reason I'm asking is why it sometimes at first power-on it will say it's an invalid login and I can quickly hit the power button on and off (puts it to sleep rather than shut down) and then the same password I had typed 15 times (without locking me out) will get me in the very next time. The whole login/validation process is suspect to me.
I can see in My Computer properties that I'm on the company domain. Thought it wasn't possible without first VPN'ing in, but apparently I have full access to company A upon WIN10 login.
