Understanding women- is it possible?*

tonight i was talking to my girlfriend on the phone--- and made the deadly mistake of bringing up the topic of marraige.. one day i do plan on being married to my g/f... i'd like to wait till i finish school first.. So we get so caught up in our conversation (saying how much we love eachother and how we want to be married now etc.) and she is like "why wont you marry me now" and i say "i cant.. i have to finish school"

so now she is accusing me of not actually loving her-- she hung up of the phone on my and put up and away message on aim that says "in bed, pissed off.. i hate it when people are so adiment about something but have no intention of following through with it"

so my question to you is- will we ever understnad women?... what can we as guys do to understand the way the female mind works?


btw- dont worry about me and my g/f... this has happened before.. and i'm just hoping like last time she'll wake up in the morning and have forgotten about it and be happy again....

It's not really about some sort of mysterious gender difference. It is, however, about being human. If you understand your own humanity and that of others', you will understand women, and I tell you they, like other people, are gems.

Honestly, you should know better than to bring up marriage. lol, but you're not asking for advice so just ignore that. Ummmm... i dont know what it will take for men to understand women. But i do know that once we figure it out, they're gonna switch it on us and put us through another 2000 years of torment til we figure it out again. and so forth.... hehe... just stick w/ it man, after enough time w/ somebody you may understand that person more fully.. as i can tell you understand your girlfriend in most subjects... but still not all, like this marriage situation and like that one time her roommate came in drunk and yelling or something and she got pissed off at you.. i dont remember the story, but you do.... anyways, g'luck w/ her and school...

everyone is unique. women don't even understand women. There are common things to females, but there are also differences.

Talking to women is kind of like talking to little kids (no offense ladies). If you tell a child that you plan to take them to McDonalds but then don't nail down when, what do you think is going to happen. I really didn't intend this to slam women so don't take it that way. If you want to marry your GF then you need to make plans on when, even if it is after school, not just start with the .... someday when I................crap.

Well, I loafed around today posting on ATOT with a quite lengthy discussion of Christian exclusivity. I guess you could say I'm a sort of professional NEF. What? The real world? What are you talking about? Goodness, the crazy notions you people have about real worlds...

I understand what you mean by this though, there is a certain drive for security in people. I won't comment what the "should" have been in this situation but I will say that being a child isn't all that bad... I mean, one gets breast milk, yummy, soft, bananas, and breast milk. Is there more to life than those four things? What am I posting about here? Oh, just answering Rallispec. I still think my thread was pretty decent in providing some new perspective you may have overlooked which may aid in understanding. Then again, what you call insight I call meaningless madness so eh, back to bananas.

If women are like children, then maybe they're the smart ones after all. It's all the adults thinking they know something who ruin it for the rest of us young'uns.
