Hello everyone, I just got a Corsair SP2500 2.1 speaker set. I had to replace my old Logitech Z-2300 set (which I loved) because the subwoofer started cutting out randomly, and I would have to crank the volume way up to get it to kick back in.
Anyway, I did my research on the SP2500, and it seems to be a good quality set, but I don't like how they sound yet. They sound sort of muffled and a bit "far away," if that makes sense - almost like there's something sitting in front of the satellite speakers. The bass sounds pretty good (though I had to crank the subwoofer setting nearly to max to even hear it).
Here are my current settings for everything (I've tried to follow the advice I've found in forums from more audio-capable people, since I'm not one of them):
1. The speakers are at default settings through the remote, so no "program," and the EQ setting is "reference." My subwoofer is set to the top of the green zone on the remote (two notches below max subwoofer volume).
2. My windows volume is set to 50%
3. My X-Fi Xtreme Gamer card is set to default values (no crystalizer, and it's in game mode).
Any thoughts?
