OK, I have the following specs for this little gaming rig.

ECS k7s5a
384MB PC133
AXP 1700+
GeForce 3 Ti 200 64MB
2x6.4GB 5400RPM 256k cache hdd (one w/ OS and swap, 2nd with all data/games) (not in raid, on same IDE cable)
16x DVD
300W PSU
WinXP

From what I could tell, this should have been a rather decent gaming system. But I get abysmal framerates while playing BF1942 online (DSL). I'm talking about single digit frame rates at 640x480x16 with all settings to low. I've played on my father's 1.2GHz Athlon, 512DDR, GF2MX400, 20GB 7200RPM 2MB, and it runs smooth as silk on 800x600x32. Is my hard drive so crappy that I would have single digit frame rates? Are the new dets anti-GF3?

Please help me!

Yeah the RAM could be a big problem.

You could always do a defragmentation if you haven't been keeping up with that. Never hurts!

EDIT: I don't think that the drivers would be borking your GF3, how about other games? Do you only get this problem with BF1942?
