Ok this is what happened.

I took off the side of my case to look at the inside of my computer. I have to do that once in a while, its fun. Then I was curious about the temperature of the VSA-100's. It was burning hot. You couldn't put your finger on it for more than 3 seconds without it burning you. I figure its about 150-170 F. I wanted to see if I could get the temp a little lower just to have fun. So, I powered down the system, and I grabbed a Delta 80mm 65CFM fan and put it facing the PCI slot for cooling. I turned on the sucker and some dust flew. Then I said, why not take the opportunity to clean the rest of the dust in there. There wasn't a lot of dust. As I was doing it, The fan blade hit my finger and I pulled away, pulling the fan and the plug that was plugged onto the motherboard while the computer was on. Then I restarted. Windows XP loading screen came up, then went black. The computer would start up, because if I turn my sound on I could hear windows, but no picture. I said alright, lets try another PCI slot, maybe I messed that one up or something, trying to deny that the card is messed up. It worked, but as soon as I install the drivers, It messes up. It works on all other PCI slots accept the one with the drivers installed. Then I try to see if the V5 was messed up by trying another card although this was AGP. But AGP is a PCI slot that just runs on another separate bus. It worked, but as soon as I installed the drivers, It didnt work.

I think the motherboard might have been shorted because of removing a power plug while it was on. Or could be the PSU. The harddrive also didn't turn on sometimes, and I would have to play with the power plug to get it to work.

It takes a while from the windows loading screen to actually get to windows when the cards do work. Just some extra info. What do you think?

Working on your computer while it was running was your first mistake.

Would you adjust the fan on your car's radiator while it was running?

:D

I doubt you shorted anything. For you to short something a connection would have to be made, and it sounds like all that happened is the fan was disconnected. However, I suppose something else could have occurred.

Determined it was a harddrive problem, now to see if its software or hardware.

Disconnecting a fan from the mobo header or molex connector should not damage anything in any way

Yes you may have corrupted your bios , start the rma process dude but dont let them know what you did with the fan , it may void your warranty.
I also agree with the first reply , NEVER EVER EVER , work on a running box unless you know what you are doing . Always power down the machine before you do any sort of work inside , even if you are just using air spray on the inside of the box . Its not worth the headaches of having to take out the motherboard fedexing back to the manufacturer , save your self the time of having to go through all this hassle by just turning off the machine . Just unplug it.
Doesn't take but a second .:D

It turned out to be a software problem, very weird. I formatted the harddrive and installed drivers and it works just fine. I still dont know what happened, but at least it works.
