Please guys/gals I need your help.

I have been trying to be able to watch 2 episodes of a TV show at a girlfriend's using her dvd player.

I used nero 7 Ultra a few days ago to convert these files, (I believe they were .avi since they were torrents that said, Name..xvid,hdtv,...) to VCD files and burned them to cd's so I could watch them with her. I checked them at my place and saw a picture but didn't watch at all. When we tried it, the sound was delayed and just got worse.

These same files were viewed perfectly with the sound at correct time on my pc using a variety of media players including winamp.

It doesn't matter that it says hdtv right? the video showed fine on my attempts, it was the sound that was a problem.

I don't care if I use a diff program but could someone help me get this to work. I have no prob building pc's but I am a retard with programs.

She let me know I am a retard also when the sound was messed up.

So, can anyone walk me through what to do please?
Thank you so much all. I have learned everything I know about pc's through this website.

Help me make her happy.

Try using AVI2DVD. It works well and it's free. The only problem I had with it was error messages when combining multiple avi files into one. It uses an older version of AVI-Mux GUI. Download the latest version. Link, unzip it, and replace the folders and files in the C:\Program Files\Avi2Dvd\Programs\AVIMuxGUI directory with the newer version. Solved the problem. There's a good guide at Afterdawn on how to use the program. Also, if you don't already have the XviD codec installed you may need it.
