News on TV are usually the high profile cases that can catch the interest of someone flipping through the channels. Newspapers can focus on a grander scale of news.

Pros and cons contrasted to what? Not hearing/reading any news at all, or getting it from another source?

Con: Limited forum for presenting. You only get small pieces of the story, often lacking in the background details. Of course this is for most stories, not news fests like the Kobe or OJ trials in which they do everything they can to unearth everything from the past of those involved.

Pro: Easily accessable format. Literacy is only a minor requirement of TV news, you can just sit there and listen to it.

Con: You have to listen to what they tell you, in the order they tell it. You can't just look at reports/articles that interest you like a print medium.

Pro: Better depictions of the situations. Video vs still pictures.

Pro: Rudi Bakhtiar isn't very bright, but is nice to look at. (find your own pics)

You could do a much better job on this assignment if you would actually try reading a newspaper, then watching TV news and thinking about the differences. If you want to get even more s-m-r-t than Rudi you need to embiggen your brain by using it.
