Help me think of ideas: New Technologies out there?

My IT capping class is really cool - for discussion in class today we've been asked to think up of a brand new technology which hasn't debuted yet, but will soon, and has a release date

For example, some years back one could say wireless networking - does anyone have any ideas? I figure a computer hardware forum brainstorm would be a good place to look

Quantum computers or quantum dots (artificial atoms) but that's probably more than a couple years away.

Fuel Cells for appliances.
