I'm hoping to get some insight on what fathers like to receive from their sons on their birthdays. Nothing too extravagant like a car because I'm not on my own yet... Budget is up to $100. Got any good ideas? I've been thinking about it for a while and I can't come up with something that seems appropriate.

Stuff I have gotten my Dad in the past he really seemed to like:

A good massage
Got the windows tinted on his truck
New clothes, gotta keep him hip
Gift Cert for a nice restaurant
Took him to a baseball game, do some good bonding
Spend a whole Satuday with him, just goofing off and running errands, took him to lunch and stuff, again good bonding time
DVD player, he is a movie buff
DVD movies

BTW, my Dad is only about 20 years older than me (35/55), so we have quite a bit in common.

Howssbout one of those Leatherman tools? Those look pretty cool. If he doesn't like it, he can give it to me!

Take him out to dinner at a nice restaraunt, then to the movies or something afterwords. He'll appreciate the time spent with you.
