of course, if you're still in school this doesn't apply to you.
I don't work and I'm in school. I'm lucky enough as it is to have excess money at all, problem is I've been spending it on computer parts. Hopefully, after I'm done with my 'binge' I won't have to buy any new computer parts for at LEAST 3 years (HOPEFULLY).
The following things I have bought in the past year.
laptop Optical Drive
laptop FDD
laptop Screen

Though there are definately some good things that have happened to me along the way. I in general take a while to make purchases due to me watching the market trends to see if it's 'climbing' or receding and during those times I have purchased things (on ebay).
Then, there is my luck of procrastination, two fairly large purchases a Video card ($400) and a refrigerator $190, the video card normally sold for $425/$450 but because I took so long, I managed to get in on a one week sale, which made it $400. The refrigerator, I took about a week of researching to figure out
1. What my old fridge was
2. What and where to get a new fridge. One thing I had to make sure though was that I could never break it again like I did (Punctured the internals so coolant came out), ended up finding a fridge that never needed to be defrosted again.
That 'perfect fridge' was more than I could ask for, nice look and didn't need to be defrosted. Turns out it was $300, not completely unreasonable but nonetheless required me to procrastinate some more, deciding whether to buy it or not. Then 2 weeks later (maybe more) I saw that exact same fridge being sold for $200. My jaw dropped and considered the fridge once again but continued to procrastinate, constantly checking the page. A week or so passed and voila, theres a sale, $10 off, I wait again as another week passes buy and then I finally jump the gun today and buy it.
So, procrastination can be good and bad, good if patience is a virtue, bad if you missed the right opportunity. My procrastination saved me $135, to waste it on something else
