Just got my cash back rewards from Amex Cash Rebate card. I'd like to get a cd printer (prints directly on media), some DVD-Rs, or just something that might be a good surprise for my wife. Any ideas?

If you want a CD-r capable printer I would go with the Epson 960 but they are hard to find. I have a 900 and its ok but I wish I would have gotten a 960. The Lexmarks are ok but there ink just looks odd to me. Haven't seen the one Canon has but I think it would put you over budget. Review of 900 & 960 at CrackSmokinToms.com

Get some new goalie equipment... $258 should buy you a quarter of 1 leg pad. 😉 But hey at least it won't stink.

BTW, I think you're nuts for becoming a goalie... they spend a ridiculous amount of cash on eq. I just spent $80 (friend discounted) on a Synthesis stick and I thought that's a lot of money...

I have the same card. I think my rebate was about $150 if I recall correctly! Great card!!!

I spent a whole summer working at a temp job just to earn $3K, then spent most of it on goalie equipment.

Helmet - $150
Chest protector - $275
Blocker - $100
Catcher - $250
Pads - $1100
Pants - $100
Skates - $100
Sticks - 2x$50
Rolling bag - $120

I'm tempted to buy a better helmet, but feel bad spending $800-$1000 on it.
