I am flying to chicago next week from LAX via southwest. Landing in Midway-Chiacgo.
My ultimate destination is Madison WI. THe only reason i am flying southwest is because i got a voucher from an unused flight that expires on the 31st.
So I plan to take a cab from Midway-Chicago to Chicago Union station. Catch the Amtrak to Madison WI from there.
From Madison I plan to drive back to California along the I-80.
Here is where my problem lies. I got to talk to my friend about this. Once I come back to CA... My stuff is in LA (car, clothes whatever). I need to get from the bay area to LA so i can come back in time for school on the 24th.
So do I take Amtrak Coastliner (10hrs by train) from oakland or SJ (if it goes from there) or take Greyhound or better yet, come via 80 -> I-15 -> LA and then we both drive up to SF/Sac in our cars.. the detour will be like 1000 miles maybe (i got to plot and see).
