k, i am running seti@home GUI v3.0 and my times are a bit better now that i stopped using 3.03. I have it running all the time with no screen saver and always minimized but it is still slow, is there a better version to use, maybe CLi, but do i need to know any unix code to get it going and use it? also where can i find the older versions that might be better?

the new versions are built for a reason they crunch more data and is more of a benifit to seti you have to remember that you are doing the project to help the cause NOT just to get the most WU per day although it does help, just minimize usage and startup applications via msconfig...as little running as possible...thats about all you can do.

What are the stats on your computer, and what kind of times are you getting for Work Units? With that information we can tell you whether or not you are working at the speed you should be, and possibly help you improve your efficiency...

Hi Nickburns!

I am assuming that you are running Win9x or Me, so, if you use SetiDriver with the cli v3.0 you will not need to know any special commands to get it running. SetiDriver will control the cli and will cache WU's for you. Check my sig below to get an idea of what speed you can expect from various systems with cli v3.0 (soon to be 3.0.3)
