If you have a sophisticated taste you might try good ol Fear Factory.

Ever listen to Manic Street Preachers? or Subrosa?

Creed - My Own Prison = a good song. Perhaps one of their only good songs, but a good song none-the-less

My Playlist:

Breaking Benjamin - Sooner or Later
Muse - Hysteria
Audioslave - Be Yourself
My Chemical Romance - Helena
Mudvayne - Happy
System of a Down - BYOB
Hot Hot Heat - Goodnight, Goodnight
CKY - 96 Bitter Beings
Citizen Cope - Sun's Gonna Rise

what will be even sweeter is the influence that touring with heavier bands will have on Dream Theater. In terms of talent, DT are the jedi masters, its just that the singer holds them back and makes them innaccessible for most people. Petrucci, the guitarist for DT, went on tour with Satriani and Steve Vai, and it showed in his work following the tour. Shlt. Petrucci loves muddvayne and you can hear it in their newest cd, train of though. The song, this dying soul, had a direct, "thank you" to muddvayne for playing the way they do. Petrucci said in an interview that muddvayne's syncopation is amazing, and is even better since they apply it to their style of music. In "this dying soul" on TOT, Petrucci took his two favorite riffs from Muddvayne's LD50 and blended them into one riff. I cantt wait to hear what DT comes up with after being on stage with FF, Dilinger and Nevermore. Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, who put together the tour, said he picked DT to co headline because he envies their talent and appreciates how they can be "chameleons" and play anything and sound true.

btw, anbody heard Muddvaynes newest cd, lost and Found? it rules. The production quality and sound fckin rules.

Yea, IM a DT fanboy, Petrucci is my hero. I was even in Guitar World's "dear guitar hero" column for Petrucci as teh #1 question.

Boston - More Than A Feeling
38 Special - Hold On Loosely

Those are old school but they sound good cranked up driving down the road.

Lots of good stuff from Boston, including that one - Feeling Satisfied, Foreplay / Long Time, Rock and Roll, Don't Look Back, and Peace of Mind. I like Cool the Engines and Smokin' once in a while, too 🙂

"Caught up in You" is another good one from .38 Special - and if you like those, look into Lynyrd Skynyrd. Both bands are headed by one of teh Van Zant brothers (though I can't remember which is which off the top of my head; the other one - Ronnie, I believe, which would make the living one Alan - was killed when Skynyrd's plane crashed years ago.

Holy Crap! Your opinion sucks... JMO

I guess I am just on the heavier side of "rock", Creed and "Foo" Fighters don't even belong in any list.
