My bosses grandma died. :(

So, we're filling out a card at the office but I don't know what to say. I don't speak to my boss much.

"You know, Boss, everybody goes through times of need, struggles and hardships, and suffers through the loss of a loved one. Often times people, ouf of distress, do stupid things they usually wouldn't. I know this is a rough time for you and I'll be here for you if you need a shoulder to lean or cry on. However, could your stupid thing out of distress please be giving me a raise?"

Just say "Sorry for your loss". Sign name. Done. If you say "hope you feel better soon" it sounds like he's in the hospital or something.

Roses are red
violets are blue
ah, screw it,
your grandmother's dead

Anyway, I'd go with something like:

"thinking of you in your time of loss" or something.
