v1.0 runs like sh!t on my Athlon 800 oced to 1523 with 1028 megs of Mushkin SSDR-DDR-QRAM on an Abit VHS-1100 mobo dual booting Linux Blackhead and a beta of Whistler. I used the v23.182736 alpha drivers for my nVidia GeForce 2 Ultra Maximum Pro and even disabled DNVCD caching and boosted the latency rating to 4.19, but it still didn't work. The game is obviously defective.
 
obviously you have been tryin to smash too many lightbulbs over your head... what you need to do is smith grind your super duper tower (which I assume is the antec 1000030 with the Mr. Fusion power supply (a la Back to The Future part 2 (yes I am putting parenthesis in parenthesis))) and ollie off the case and press right down circle to do a 900 mctwist onto your 21' (yes thats feet) screen and land it switch. Then counterstrike will obviously run at more fps than you've got mhz. simple logic my friends

Anyways, I tried landing the trick switch but I kept sliding off. I am trying a FS Switch Hurricane Grind on my case to a ollie and snap my video card in half to a nut my self on the CD-ROM tray 540 out onto my camera and have a orgasm at the same time. Wonder if that will fix it!?

Oh yea, that wasn't me breaking the light bulb 🙂. I made a new montage with a few clips of me in it.
