Help me "rice" my Civic

First of all, is my Civic "rice-compatible"?

I have a 2006 Civic EX which is the newest revision.

Also, what is rice? I assume it's mods. How fast can I make my car?

Ok thanks. 🙂

I'm hoping your kidding but......

If you want to do it right make sure you get some body kits that are either bondo color or mis matching, so if you have a red car get a white body kit and make sure it's mostly half falling off in places.

Next be sure to get some 15" steelies for the rear wheels and some 17" chrome somewhat expensive wheels for the fronts, it is a FWD car why spend money on all 4?

Next go to pep boys and pick up a carbon fiber wing and bolt that sucker on.

Lastly get the loudest most obnoxious fart can you can find, also make sure this hangs oddly and isn't installed quite right, maybe even let it drag on the ground a bit.

That should get you going in the right direction if you want to be "rice"

Start with "Type-R" stickers. These grant various performance enhancements depending on the location. I've also hear that they're stackable, but I've not confirmed this, ymmv.

The next mod involves a can of Folgers...

LOL

Thanks for teaching me what "rice" means. 🙂

I seriously had no idea.

TBH I wouldn't mind bolting a turbo on someday. $3K for the parts alone is too much IMO though.

Personally I'm of the opinion that there is a huge difference between tastefully modding a vehicle and "ricing" it.

go to 8thcivic and get yourself some SI suspension for cheap. add a rear sway bar as well. you don't have many options in terms of performance though...although some people have turboed their R18s 🙂

DEFINITELY go to 8thcivic

to start off cheap (under 200) get yourself a cold air intake, it will give u about 9hp (at the wheels) and give u a nice little rumble at higher rpms, while sounding normal during regular driving. (i recommend AEM v2 in take for hondas)

then for around $500, get yourself either.. a set of 17in name brand whee/tire kit USED or,
a an exhaust system from a reputable name brand (greddy, skunk2, megan racing, etc...) (i recommend greddy)

for aroud $400, you can get some springs and shocks that will lower your car and give u better handingling during corners. (http://www.hondaaccordforum.co...howthread.php?t=12897) for help on all ur suspension needs)

the OP obviously wanted his civic to go fast, and not just go for looks. the info i've given above will give some speed, not looks.

if you want looks:
tint your windows to 20%-30%, get a front lip (easy to scrape on curbs/driveways,) sideskirts, and rear lip (make sure has openings to fit exhaust tips if you plan to get one, 3-in in diameter)

let me know if u want more info

What kind of front lip, sideskirts, and rear lip do you have in mind. Do you have any photos? What do you have done to your Honda?

Save the money and when you get your next car, get something worth putting money into.

Come one man, why is everyone knocking the poor guy. He just wants to make his car unique.... I dont want to hear anyone thats knocking this guy saying they are a car enthusiast.... because a REAL car enthusiast can appreciate anyones ride and wanting to make them theirs.

Dman, you better not have any mods on yours.... because that would just be a waste right? Considering you could have put that money in an STI.
