Help me remember the names of two movies.

All I remember are certain scenes, and parts of the movies. The first one is a murder movie where the serial killer is killing people and taking certain body parts to make the body of Jesus Christ for the resurrection. Does someone know which movie I am talking about? Also, the other movie involved a cop who was paralyzed and was stuck in bed. All I remember was he had a computer set up and was able to take parts of newspapers, letters, matchboxes, etc... and put a note together. Any help would be appreciated.
