Is there some other HSF that will fit this socket that will be quieter than the 5000 rpm stock HSF's??? This thing is totally annoying me.....

Help

Yes. The two that I have used so far are the Swiftech MCX604's, but they are incredibly expensive, and that all that great on performance. They work most definitely, but I replaced them with the Thermalright SI-9XV's. They were cheaper, easier to install, and the performance is great on them. And I didn't think they would fit on my mobo (Supermicro X5DAE), but they fit perfectly.

I advise getting one (or two, if you are running duallie) Thermalrights, a fan controller, and two good Delta Triple Blade fans. Works wonderfully. 🙂

there were some 100% copper heatsinsk i saw on newegg before... take a look there.. btu you would need to buy a fan
