help me quiet my pc...

You can see my system specs below.
Now i want to quiet my system substantially.
I want to keep all my parts the same as they are now.
Everything is at stock speeds (i can tone down my voltage if needed)
Presently i have four case fans, a delta, and a power supply fan.
What can i do to quiet it to basically nothing.
I plan on taking all the case fans out, can i run my athlon with just an sk-6?
If not, how small of a fan can i put on it?
Do i need case fans?
What silent fans have you had good experiences with?
can i change the fan on my psu?
its the stock psu that came with the antec sx1030.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ditch the screaming Delta for a quiet fan. You should keep at least 2 case fans to ensure proper case ventilation, get some quiet Panaflo L1A's or NMB's. You can replace the Antec PS fan with a Panaflo, but be careful and use a plastic screwdriver like the kind designed for TV repair. It won't be dead silent but it should then have little more than just a gentle hum.
For these types of items, I've had good luck and found great prices with both case-mod.com and svcompucycle.com.

Well, a good way is to start is to post your temps (mobo and cpu) so that we can find out how much leeway you have. The Tbird 1.33 runs fairly hot, so it might be hard to keep it cool and quiet... You'll find that running silently is a dynamic between heat and silence...

Two of the major tricks in reducing noise is reducing the creation of air turbulence and case vibration. You can do this by:

1. Removing or streamlining obstructions~ a)you can replace the stamped grills for your fans with those wire ones, or just cut them out. Or b) getting higher quality fans like like a Panaflo L1a

2. Reducing airflow~ You can mod your fans to use less voltage and thus run at a lower rpm, dramatically reducing the noise they make (I use a baybus to accomplish this)

3. Reduce case vibrations~ a) tighten all screws and use rubber grommets for high vibration parts like fans and the hard drive. b) use a sound/vibration dampener like PAX mate or Magic Fleece to stop case vibration and dampen noise.

To be honest, you arent gonna get to "basically nothing" sound wise with your current setup. But a good start is to do what PSYWVic said and replace the delta and switch out the 4 case fans with 2 panaflos. Maybe ( C A R E F U L L Y) modding your PS as well. Good luck, and feel free to ask if you want some more in-depth tips.
