Help me Quick Please!

I know this should be in the networking forum, but it's a lot more urgent I find an answer.

We are trying to hook up a hub into another hub to gain a few more connections to the internet. We currently have it linked into the Uplink port on the second hub going into a regular port on the first hub. Anything connected to the second hub is not working. Do we have this set up properly or can you just not do this?

You can try connecting it to a regular port using a crossover cable.
Are these hubs or switches?

We tried using a crossover cable to no avail. I'm pretty sure they're both hubs.
