never mind, my system fan is fine, but my CPU fan is STILL 400rpm's lower than it should be........PLZ help..........and tell me its NOT defective (i've had this newly built PC for about a week now, and this is the first time this BS happened 🙁

PPPPPPLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the spec sheet of any given fan, the RPM reading should be something like 5000 +10/-10 or +10%/-10%... Certainly your fan spins at more than 4K RPM, so it should be well within the operating range.

my system is showing that my fan is running at almost 8k rpm! seems high...cna that be rite? it's like a reg athlon fan! lmk thx

Are you also monitoring the voltage to the fan? You may find that the voltage has dropped. Possibly because your power company had to drop the 120 AC voltage in the middle of the afternoon (due to heat) to avoid a "blackout".

uh........my voltage is the same, and it is now the day after and it is STILL at 5200rpm..........but i guess im fine as long as it doesnt get any lower 🙂

thx for the advice guys 🙂
