I'm trying to network my computer and xbox together on a 24 port hub. But when I plug my cable modem into the hub I loose the internet. Can someone help me?
 
Ok...I'll try, but if my mother finds out that I helped hate, she's not going to be happy with me.

You're going to probably have an IP conflict if you don't have a way of setting static IPs on both the computer and the XBOX. You may need either a router or some sort of DHCP server that can give both an IP address.
