$10 Paypal to anyone that can get this thing working.
I went to upgrade the firmware in a WRT350N to an Alchemy version I found on the net. The file name is alchemy6.0.smbfs.radauth.v19.bin
Anyway, it flashed just fine, rebooted, and now I am stuck.
The router is not bricked (?), but I have no access to its settings at all and the wireless is shut off. I can still use it on wired (if I set the PC to DHCP instead of hardsetting the IP), but it gives off some weird numbers:
The IP address it is assigning the wired PC is 72.222.162.170, with a subnet mask of 255.255.248.0 and a default gateway of 72.222.160.1. I am pretty sure that the IP assigned is my actual EXTERNAL IP through my ISP, so it looks like the router is just passing through the external IP only. The power light lights up as do the 4 lights showing the 4 wired connections, but that is all.
So.......HELP HELP HELP ME PLEASE!
I cannot access the routers settings at all. I have tried hard resetting the router again and again but it has no effect. Is there ANYTHING I can do besides RMA? Is there an executable I can run to tell it to revert to a different firmware?
The router is now acting like a dead-brained switch and I can find no way to get into it.
I would appreciate any and all suggestions. Also, if anyone knows how to get a RMA from Linksys without a receipt, let me know. I bought it used but it isn't very old.
Mods: I know this was a dbl post, but no responses at other location.
