Hey Guys,
For some reason my NEC 3500a stopped showing up under XP. But it still shows up under linux. It is pluged in and shows up in the bios. Could you guys help me get it to show up again?

is there another optical drive on the same cable?

you could try uninstalling the secondary IDE controller from Device Manager, reboot, let windows re-install the controller, and it should re-detect the optical drives.
