i have samsung syncmaster 930b + ATI radeon 9600.....
i used to connect this two with analog, but i recently change to dvi cable's..
but can't go any higher then 1280 by 10247 pixels! is this normal? if i want to go higher do i need new monitor or new GC?
i installed GC driver and syncmastter 930b digital drive. please help guys!

Yeah it is normal. The max resolution of the 930B is 1280x1024, no matter if you use VGA or DVI. You need a new monitor, a new graphics card won't help that.

Also welcome to AT.

your graphic should be able to do 2048X1536@85Hz !! your monitor is the issue here and its max res is 1280x1024. I would suggest buying a ctr monitor for higher resoultion and they do still have better image quality than most LCD.
