use nslookup to see if it is actually a DNS problem.
also ping sites by IP address to see if it is a general packet loss problem.

None of those alternate servers do anything for me. I still have random sites that just won't open that I know are there.
I've been talking to my ISP till I'm blue in the face. They've changed my servers (dns) twice, and I've tried the ones up there. They seem to think I'm nuts.
For instance, when I use one of the DNS servers they gave me, I can go to billingsgazette.com - just fine. Then I use another one and I can't go there.
Whatever DNS server I use, it seems as if there is something I can't see for whatever reason. All of these sites I can remote into my webserver and ping from my webserver (remotely hosted) and get the ip address to them and type it into firefox and go right there.
This just started today, I have a fresh install of win2k fully updated. It is also happening to my xp machine on this workgroup as well.
What are you all's thoughts?
well then you don't have a DNS problem you have a severe packet loss problem. whine to your provider some more.
Also remove the router from the equation just to make sure.
