I neeed to get this compute built by manana. When I try to boot something up in the CDROM it says a kernal32.dll file is missing and then another message pops up saying that the device attached to this system is not functioning.
I have my hard drive as master and a burner as slave in primary. Then I have my CDROM as master on secondary.
ANy ideas please help, I will try research now but I really need a quick fix for this one I must move on cause I know other problems will pop up.

What OS are you working with and are you doing a clean install to a bare drive?

And this is unrelated to your current troubles, but I'd set up the burner as the secondary master and the CD-ROM as the primary slave. That way your two data sources (HDD and CD-ROM) are on a different channel from the burner. You'll have better performance.

do you mean booting from the drive, or putting a disc in the drive?

the kernel32.dll error is a very vague error, lots of problems can cause them ;-)

a general fix is a reinstallation of the operating system.

are you overclocking? using an abnormal PCI bus speed?
