Help me pick which cell phone.....

I decided to spend a little and pick up a new cell phone, I am looking for something that has other functions and would be fun to play around with. Does anyone have any experience or opinions on these phones? or want to recommend any others?

Sony Ericsson W800i
Sony Ericsson S710a
Sony Ericsson K750 ( i read this is very similar to the w800i, just cheaper)

K750i.

I flashed mine to a W800. Plus it looks better. I like the shutter of the K750 better.

S710a is out of hte league since its old. Remember SE will have a new set of phones this coming summer... The K750/W800 is already getting old..

BTW I have played with a W800i (my friend's) I have owned a K750i, and a good friend owns a S710a. I also own (and currently use) a K700i. My K750i broke, but I still love that phone...

I have the W800.. I'd upgrade to the W810 if I needed 850 and EDGE, but I don't..

I'd wait for the W810 though if I was still stuck with my old phone. The K750 and W800 are essentially the same except for some physical features. I prefer the shutter on the W800 over the K750, and like the look of the W800 better as well. You could always get a K750 and flash it to a W800 if you wanted.

I also don't see whats so special about the V635.. when you compare the features of that to a W800/K750.. it pales so much.

I would wait for the w810i, but im sure when it comes out itll cost 600-700, while i can get the w800 for around 400

No, it was just upgrading our old v400's on the same contract which expires next month but it was through a company discount with cingular. No rebates either, was a pleasant experience for a change.

Good deal. I paid $100 for my K750i in August. I miss that phone so much.

I personally thinkt he W800 looks cheaper, and a lot of ppl jsut go ughh doesn't look that great. When you whip out a K750i and then pull the shutter open, people go WHOAHhhhh and they also see the 2 megapixels written on it... I think the K750i looks a lot sexier just cuz of the black color.

That said, the W810 looks pretty cool too.

If you can get the W800i for the same price, then you should probably get it. K750i is just more worth it (at least when I got it because it would've cost me around $300 to get a W800). I can stuff enough MP3s and plus I have radio, so I know I can be content with a K750i. Pretty much all I did was flash it and I would've bought headphones if I didn't break it so soon. hehe.

Uhh to flash it you need to pay about $6 - $7 if you can find some guy on forums who sells credits for that flashing program. It's reversible... Just pay for each flash.

K750i, don't check the US product list, you gotta check global products... You can't even really get the W800i with a plan either. You gotta go to Asian places or buy the phone separately on your own...

I have the S710 and I really like it! I've had it for about 3 months and haven't had any problems

When you whip it out and swivel people are just like 'OMGWTF'. Definitely a good way to get some attention

I think I paid like $150 plus a 1 year extension (she hooked up another 300 anytime a month, since I'm still on AT&T though).

I'm curious on the second question also. What's the advantage of flashing to a W800 if the only major differences are physical?

Not really, the w800 should come with a 512MB MS Duo instead of the K750's 64MB and the W800's headphones are better.

Yea, comes with the 512MS Duo, better headphones, and the adapater that allows you to connect your own headphones.
