I know there may be a price drop soon, but nobody knows when, and it could be a long time. I just purchased a 3700+ San Diego and the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe board and I want to play my games soon. I can wait a week or 2.

Basically, I don't care if the card is SLI or not. I didn't buy the board for SLI. I bought it because I got a good deal on it.

I am looking to keep it under $450. What is the best way to go? Are the X800XT's or the X850XT's in that price range? Should I get a 6800GT, since I think the Ultras are too much right now. Or should I just suffer for a few weeks and see if there is a big enough price drop to make it worth waiting?

I remember it took a very long time for the Radeon 9800's to drop.

Thanks!

You might be able to get an X800XT in your price range, X850XT's I'm not so sure about. 6800GT's in PCI-E are around $350 these days as far as I know, and honestly the best bang for the buck is the X800XL, which can sometimes be found for under $300 in PCI-E and performs basically on par with the 6800GT.
