Help me pick out a burner

My trusty old HP 7200i seems to have finally burnt it's last disc. (sigh). Sure he wasn't the fastest one in the fight, but he gave it all for 2.5 + years...

OK, here's what I've narrowed it down to. (Other suggestions welcome, want to keep it Below $300:

1) HP 9200i (scsi) 8x4x32 - $269 from outpost.com

2) HP 9300i (IDE) 10x4x32 - $250 from several sources on pricewatch

3) Plextor PlexWriter (IDE) 8x4x32 - $229 from outpost.com

4) PLEXWRITER (IDE) 12X10X32 - $279 from egghead

Please help, I may need to run out and pick one up tomorrow morning! Thanks!

Go for #4. You should be able to find a better price than that, check Onvia.

Go for a Plextor and then get the one that fits your budget.

I'll go for #4. It's cheap compared to SCSI and its just the best you can buy for money 🙂

LOL....LED finally gets a real burner.🙂 Yes, I remember when you didn't know sh8t 'bout burners, so you haven't always known everything. Scaringly fast, ain't it?
