I've run into some trouble with my current setup. I have been having a lot of crashes while playing World of Warcraft. It's taking me a while, but it looks like I have a bad stick of RAM. I ran the Microsoft memory test and after a few hours, one of my two 512mb sticks of Kingston Hyper-X had about 19 million errors. Not good....
Anyway, I think I am going to buy some new stuff. I'm leaning towards getting 2GB, but I haven't committed to this completely.
Here is my setup:
P4 3.2
ASUS P4C800E Deluxe
Gainward 6800GT Golden Sample
Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum
Currect RAM - 2 x 512 Kingston Hyper-X
In terms of overclocking, I probably won't run much faster than 3.4, so lower latencies rather than the max memory clock speed are the priority.
I'm in Canada, so I am limited to mail ordering from Canadian sources. I usually buy from ncix.com.
The memory I'm leaning towards is the following:
Text
It is priced at $361 CDN, so it's pretty pricey.
Here is a cheaper alternative. At this price it would be easier for me to justify get 2GB worth.

This OCZ memory looks nice as well, but it is $20 more than the Mushkin.

There are a few Kingston options too, but I'm not too keen getting more Kingston memory after the problems I'm currently having. Anyway, here is what appears to be a nice set:

Here is the main list of RAM. Note that many are not in stock and I would prefer to order something that is in available.

The bottomline is that I'm looking for some good performing, reliable RAM. I do a fair bit of gaming on my machine, especially recently with the advent of World of Warcraft. I play some 3D shooters like HL2 and Doom 3. I do a fair bit of video editing and some photoshop work.
Is it worth get ultra low latency RAM? Is there really going to be much of a difference in terms of gaming performance.
Any help is much appreciated. I'm probably going to be ordering sometime tomorrow. In the meantime I'm likely going to pull the bad stick of RAM from my machine.
Thanks in advance.
