ty for your time but i already have one i want somthing smoother trust me cloth pads are no match for these.

Ratpadz GS.

Daymn, the day I buy a high-end mouse pad to make my gaming better, I'll f***ing quit.

I am using a (Black, works best) 3m Precise Mouse Pad with a Logitech MX 500, It works better than any thing else I have tried.
By far the Greatest pad ever!

Steelpad 4D...
Now you have to help me pick my USB printer cable.
I'm looking for the absolute highest quality, yet at the most rock bottom price... and it MUST be cool to look at.

i guess its between just the stealpads these 3
Steelpad 4D Mouse Pad
Steelpad 4S Mouse Pad
Steelpad S&S Professional Gaming Mouse Pad

Dude, if you are using an optical mouse then the mousepad doesn't matter. You'll never look at it, so what it looks like doesn't help. If it's flat, then that's good enough. You could use your desktop fer cryin out loud. It ain't gonna help you with gaming.

i didnt know people were so dumb. there is a big diff between a stealpad and a flat desktop. The hardpads are alot better than cloth pads people must of never used them. i am gonna get the steal pad 4s with mx-510 and microsft media or elite not sure yet.

w00t, the complaint I heard about Steelpads is that the surface wears down pretty fast, especially if you're gaming for hours each night. I don't know this to be fact, just telling you what I had read in a thread here (the one that made me realize they sold fancy mousepads 🙂).

I use a sUrface pad from http://www.func.net. Had it for over a year, and love it. It's in the same condition as the day I bought it. Don't let the ugly blue one scare you. They sell it in black as well. I was sick and tired of crappy desktops and cloth pads as well. This pad makes a big difference.

One side is slick and the other side is textured. I use the textured side myself. And it has a neat little clip for the cord.

Umm. You won't game better with a mouse pad. I'm using a 4 year old mosue pad from dell that's made out of cloth. My friend has one of those ice mat things, the only difference I could tell was it was a bit slippery. Your not gonna be better in games just because a mouse pad. As long as you got a optical mouse, and some flat piece of junk your good. I know somoene who uses just a nomrla mouse (not optical or wireless) and no mouse pad and is extremely good at games. Save your money.

I use a cheap pad with a built in Gel wrist pad...I gotta have a Gel pad on my wrist.

I like cloth because its quiet..I hate the scraping noise of a plastic mouse on a plastic pad...teflon feet help but are still not 100% .

How would you know if you don't have any of them? Ive used those gimmicky mousepads and regular cloth with my MX500..no contest. Cloth is the winner hands down. It is smooth and quiet like someone else said..just feels good..while those have hard surfaces...not necessary (just use your desk like someone else said, if you want that type of surface).

personally, i do prefer cloth the most. i've tried all sorts of mouse pads out there, even the nexgen c4 one as a beta product, and cotton is the best. as for an expensive one, the steel pad 4s is my fav, but i've yet to find a better one than cotton. and w00t, dont judge products you've never used before. otherwise, if you did, this thread wouldnt exist.

Another vote for a Func 1030. I had a Ratpadz GS that wore out in less than a year and have been going strong with the 1030 ever since. I wish it was a bit bigger though.

i have used an alienware mouse pad. i have used alot of steelpads i dont know what the series are the only one i probably havent used is the SS. i think they are elite in gaming 😀 my opinon

i have a 3s, i do not believe it can wear, its all aluminum ...

you may need to get some mouse feet for your 510 as the feet on it will wear quickly with the steelpads.

I would like to try a func or an icemat someday.

you will have nice, smooth, even movements with the steelpad.

My only complaints is the condesation that gets on it when I rest my warm hand on the cold steelpad. either that or its my sweat heh. Sometimes this pisses me off as I got and wash it when it happens.

as far as wear goes, I do believe the func's wear down. unsure about the icemat.

I think a main reason I got the steelpad was the fact that it cant wear, that and it performs great.

i also love the func, i have the black on black one. its excellent, the size is perfect, there are 2 surfaces to choose from, the mouse clip works VERY well, and the rubber makes it stay in place. plus it comes with a neat silver tin box that is great for showing the pad off at lans. its $20 so its not too expensive either i use it with my mx510 and some mouse tape which will make it even smoother and wont wear down teh pad or the mouse.
