Help me pick: Chenbro Genie or Silverstone TJ03 ?

Hi everyone,

I'm getting a new case very soon. I plan on putting 4 - 15k/10k scsi drives, 2 cd/dvd writers, 1- tape & a livedrive.
I will also get a 3.2 Prescott as soon as there available to go w/ a p4c800e + 1gig of ram. I'm looking at these 2 cases.

I'd like expandability & great cooling w/ the least amount of noise possible. So here's some pics/reviews:

Chenbro Genie:

Silverstone TJ-03:

I really appreaciate your comments.

Thanks for the help.

Jose

The Chenbro looks more spacious and I like the fan placement (you'd need some filters for those intakes though). The Nimiz looks more "adult" and serious, its layout seems a bit more thoughtful too, though cramped. If I was going to choose, I'd probably get the Chenbro.

There is more write-up on the Chenbro case on coolcases.com . And you might want to add the new Athenatech 801/811 series to your list - one of the few non full-tower cases I've seen that could handle two of those 5-drive, hot-swap racks as well as an optical and a floppy type drive or two. Newegg just got 'em in and one model is already on back order. One has 5" and HD bays and the other has mainly 5" drive bays - the one to use for a honkin' 8-10 drive RAID system. And don't forget the Enermax 1018x series.

The Genie looks to have excellent cooling. I'd have coolcases mod the hd rack for 2 - 92mm fans.

But the Silverstone looks sweet, but is expensive about $265 no ps. 😱

I'm not certain the Silverstone could keep my system cool w/ the prescott.

I'm checking out the Athenatech now.

Thanks everybody,

Regards,
Jose
