Here's my update after returning the Z3C and giving this more thought.

Right now I'm leaning towards the Note 4. I need to handle it again to really get a better sense of it. The reason I'd pick the Note 4 over the G3 is because it appears the G3 has really poor screen on time. Just about everything I've read says the G3 screen eats the battery during use, and that's a huge no go for me.

I would prefer something the size of the S5 but I just can't stomach that fake chrome bezel and I'm reading the speaker is quieter than the Note 4.

Another option is to wait a few months and see what the S6 and M9 will have in store.

I've even flirted with the idea of the iPhone 6/6 Plus but there are very specific things about iOS that really irritate me at this point.

How much bloatware did the Z3C come with from AT&T? Is it comparable to the Note 4?

The Z3c is not available from AT&T. He had to have bought it either from SONY or somewhere else. Also, I can't believe I just found this thread. OP, if the Note 4 does not work for you, check out the JitterBug. It's all the rage.

It's an odd thing to witness, for sure.

I figure the OP wouldn't give it a 2nd look, but my Nokia Lumia 520 Windows Phone 8.1 (AT&T) has to be the most bang for the buck in a smartphone. $29.99 right now at Amazon. Free (i.e. offline) GPS, is the reason I bought it but it does about everything I've asked it to, is snappy, looks good. I saw it said recently that its maps are better than Google Maps. I have a 64GB microSD in it.

I ended up pulling the trigger on a refurbished 6 Plus (64 GB) yesterday on AT&T's site. $722. Going with Next.

I handled the Note 4 a few days ago and really liked it a great deal, but still opted for the 6 Plus.

I'll share my thoughts when I get it and use it for a few days. I handled one yesterday at the Apple store for about 20 minutes and just decided with this price and the battery life it was the right combo. I want this to be my last phone for at least 2 years.

I think among the three colors that grey one looks best with its black face. The other two look way too toy-like for me.

I liked G3 but its text rendering on web is very very messed up. Check it out in person at a store. It is definitely software thing so they might have fixed it but when I saw it last time the text was borderline illegible on its default web browser. I thought it strange no reviews mentioned it. Was I seeing things?

You were not seeing things. I picked up a G3 to try out and really enjoyed it but the screen sharpening that impacts readability of text was very annoying and why I sold it soon after I got it.

Has anybody here removed a Dbrand skin or any other kind of skin from their phone? I'm seeing how to guides to apply but nothing regarding how to remove or if it's easy to take off, etc.

I absolutely love my 6 Plus. And this is coming from someone who completely swore off phablets in the past.

You realize quickly that to properly use the phone you'll need two hands. (Unless you have huge hands.) It's an adjustment for sure but the trade off enables to experience the web and other apps on the go in a whole new way with such a large screen. Battery life so far has been killer too.

My gripes are that iOS 8 still has serious flaws, the aluminum is too slippery, I miss not having a notification light or Moto Display, and there isn't a truly great Reddit client.
