I already own that one. :)

The 3 composite photos are the WW2 era watches I am looking at.

There are a couple of unique "frankenwatches" the guy constructed that have both a regular second hand AND a sub-second hand. Unique but not as valuable as an authentic watch.

RIP WW2 Watch thread.

I foolishly thought this topic was more interesting than truck nuts or herpes...

Most are pretty good. I like the first one in the first pic the most.

BTW, what's the price range on those?

The ones pictured are $150 - $200 or so. You can ger rarer or better condition ones for a ton more money... for example...

Wow those are some nice watches. Well $150 for the other ones isn't too bad, especially since you can have a watch a long time.

Which one do you like most?

I am leaning towards the Elgin with the khaki strap in the middle of the first picture. I really would like to get a Cyma, but they are a tad too rich for my blood at the moment. If I keep up with this watch collecting thing, I'll revisit this again... :)

edit: the four "finalists" are in the third composite. The khaki strap is on the far right in that picture. The 2 Hamiltons to the left are also nice although a little rougher around the edges. The leather strap has a neat buckle on it.

edit2: a Cyma

Some of those look like they've been stuck in Christopher Walken's ass for a couple of years...

Probably the metal banded one. My personal preference for a metal or leather band plays a part in that decision.

It's certainly not as interesting as my thread.

My friend and I were talking about inventing potential backstorys. That was his suggestion... :D
