Help me pick a monitor.

I am looking to get a new PC. THe main specs will be:

2500K i7
GTX 580 video card.

I need a new monitor as well and the computer will be used 90% of the times for games. Very rarely do I watch movies, I sometimes goof around with photoshop. My question is: What is the best monitor for FPS games, Racing games and more of the fast paced games. Should I get a 120Hz AW2310, the Asus, Acer etc. or would I be better of getting a 25 or 27" that is only 60Hz. My old monitor was an old 22" from dell that came w/ the xps 410 I bought. My budget is roughly 400 bucks for this. I just want the best bang for my buck that allows for me to enjoy all of my video games.

Go for a 120Hz for sure, you'll never go back.

I have the ASUS and its a great monitor.

The AW is supposed to be excellent too, not heard great things about the Acer.

I don't bother with 3D either; just use it for 120HZ in 2D gaming.

The colours are decent, it displays a nice rich picture but it still has TN limitations.

I have a 30" Samsung 305T next to it and it beats the ASUS on image quality, but this cost nearly £1000 when I bought it new.

I use the gaming preset on the ASUS and the colours are bright and vivid if a little over extenuated on certain tones. I am trying to track down a calibrated ICC profile as we speak.

The ASUS, LG W2363D and Alienware OptX AW2310 offer the best 120Hz image quality from what I picked up doing my research.

That is kind of what I found as well. The glossy screen shouldn't be too bad as I wont really have any lights directly around me.
