Help me pick a mid range PSU

Hi,

Im building a computer and am stuck on picking a power supply. Ive done alot of reasearch and have picked out a few candidates.

Im pretty sure you guys know the models im talking about, but tell me if you want links.

Ocz modstream 450 i can get this for $70
Seasonic s12 430 ceapest I found was $90

Fortron blue storm 500 $75

antec TP 2 430 around $70-75

Xclio 450 bl $60, but its never in stock

I know that the s12 is probably the best, but im going for more bang for the buck. Noise is not top priority, but its always good. Please tell me what model you think is worth it.

All of those are decent units, I'd suggest going w/ the OCZ in that case as it's the best balance of price / performance, but if noise and efficency and stable rails are the primary concerns I'd go w/ the Seasonic S12 430
 
yeah, but the s12 is one pricy psu! I think someone mentioned that the ocz's cables are short. will i be ok with the antec 3000b?
 
I like the antec, but the ocz's way cheaper and will still supply plenty of power, so get that. By the way where are you getting it from?
 
i like ones with dual fan since one of the biggest heat source is the cpu and it will rise up right onto the psu so why not help it even more by sucking it up and out.
 
mine is rated at <30db full load, the speed is auto adjusted based on temp. I have never been on full load so i'm guessing it is about 20db or less since it's silent except for the wind noise
 
damn!!

just looked at the rebate from and its gotta be postmarked by june 7th. hows that possible with memorial day?!!! plus they jacked the price to 65 AR.

not so hot anymore...

back on the hunt again sigh....

SuperFlower TTGI's are good inexpensive PSU's. You can find them at Directron.com. I bought a 350W TTGI that cost me $29.99 and it's powering an oc'd XP-M 2400+ @2419MHz and a oc'd 6600GT @ 533MHz core and 1.1GHz memory. I've had this PSU since 12/04 and no problems whatsoever.
