Hello all.
I have a P4 Prescott 3.0 CPU laying around and thought a good use for it would be in a media-server type box for use in my home network. My biggest issue is deciding on a M/B for this CPU since I'm really confused about what chipsets are compatible with it.
Cost isn't really an issue, but 24/7 reliability is a must. I plan on using XP Pro as the OS and having at least a TB of storage. Oh, a side question: If a M/B says it's got SATA 1.5 ports, can I use 3.0 SATA drives or must I get SATA 150 drives only?
Thanks for any help or suggestions!
