Help me pick a laptop for wifey!

My fiance is starting medical school soon and needs a nice laptop for the next 3-5 years.

List of things I want for her:
i5 cpu
8 gigs of ram
SSD of at least 128 gigs

Also, she would want something that is thin and light, like an ultrabook.

Lastly, and maybe the most difficult part, is that IT HAS TO BE PRETTY!

So, I was thinking something that has a full aluminum body or an option for a nice red or blue color or something along those lines.

So far, I've been looking at the series 7/9 offerings from samsung, is there any other suggestions?

EDIT: After looking for awhile it seems that the series 7/9 and the macbook are the only options.

Haswell Macbook Air + Vinyl Stickers looks nice. Maybe just go to a general store like Best Buy and ask her which model she likes looks wise then find a right spec/price combo online?

Get your wife an apple product or get a divorce.

LOL

Anyway. After more searching I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't make sense to purchase an ultrabook with an SSD. Theyre all outrageously priced.

I think we settled on getting a series 5 from samsung. $599 for an i5, 6GB RAM, 750GB HD, thin, light, and all metal.

Thanks guys!

Are you able to upgrade the hard drive on the Samsung 5? I've seen SSD on sale at NewEgg a few times.

Buy an SSD separately and clone the original hard drive. I won't guarantee success, but it should work out. Sometimes SSDs are thinner than their mechanical counterparts, so make sure they have their shoved into the connector just right.
